Neil Roberts is Professor of English Literature at the University of Sheffield. He has written numerous books and essays on literature, including The Lover, the Dreamer and the World — The Poetry of Peter Redgrove and Narrative and Voice in Postwar Poetry , and has edited the Blackwell Companion to Twentieth-Century Poetry. His latest book is Ted Hughes — A Literary Life.
