Magda Cârneci is a poet, art essayist and prose writer born in Romania. She currently lives between Paris and Bucharest. A member of the well-known “’80s generation” in Romanian literature, she became actively involved in the political and cultural Romanian scene after the Revolution of December 1989. At present she is president of PEN Club Romania. She is also a member of the European Cultural Parliament.
