Anthony Caleshu is the author of 3 collections of poetry and 3 books of criticism on contemporary poetry (one monograph on James Tate, two edited collections of essays on Poetry and Public Language (Shearman, 2007), and the poetry of Peter Gizzi (forthcoming, Wesleyan UP, 2017)).His most recent book is The Victor Poems (Shearsman, 2015); the first five poems won the Boston Review Poetry Prize in 2010. His second book, Of Whales (Salt 2010) was named a ‘book of the year’ in The Daily Telegraph. In 2007, he started Short Fiction : The Visual Literary Journal (an annual), and edited it until 2015. In 2016,he founded the new poetry venture, Periplum , dedicated to publishing pamphlets, broadsides, books, and digital videos of the best contemporary poetry.
